The Cross. It rests on the timeline of history like a compelling diamond-Its tragedy summons all sufferers-Its absurdity attracts all cynics-Its hope lures all searchers.
Far more than a gold-plated symbol of religious belief, the cross is the centerpiece of the Christian faith-the meeting place of time and eternity, where God and man encounter each other.
Max Lucado takes you through the drama of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ-bringing to life Peter's denial, Pilate's hesitancy, and John's loyalty. Relive the events leading up to Jesus' crucifixion, from the foggy garden of Gethsemane to the incandescent room of the resurrection.
No Wonder They Call Him Savior leads you up the hill of mankind's highest hope and reminds you why he deserves to be called our Savior.
Six Hours One Friday
Sometimes it seems life has nothing to send your way but storms. How can you possibly anchor yourself well enough to survive and weather these storms? You may be facing...
• a failing marriage,
• an impossible work deadline,
• a potential layoff,
• the death of a child,
• a malignant tumor
• or something equally challenging.
You don't have to weather these storms alone. God promises to be with you, and He has provided you with three anchor points to help you ride out any storm. Each anchor point was planted firmly in bedrock two thousand years ago by a carpenter who claimed to be the Christ. And it was all done in the course of a single day. All done during six hours one Friday.
Those six hours were no normal six hours. They were the most critical hours in history. For during those six hours on that Friday, God made it possible for you to know that:
• Your life is not futile.
• Your failures are not fatal.
• Your death is not final.
Travel back to the foot of the cross and learn how to live in the power of the cross.
And The Angels Were Silent
As Jesus entered His final days and faced Golgotha, He acted with loving purpose and deliberate intent. Each step was calculated. Every act premeditated. And the Angels Were Silent allows you to enter and observe a revealing and intimate view of our Savior's last week.
DELIVERY OPTIONS AND TIMES
We offer three methods of delivery at the moment:
Postal delivery: We use the SA Post Office to deliver to any valid South African postal address. We will send you a tracking number by email when we dispatch your order and you should receive a post office collection slip about 7-10 days later. You can then collect the parcel from your local post office counter. Postal delivery is R50 on all eligible orders.
Courier: This is a door-to-door service. You must supply us with your physical address and someone will need to be available at the address to receive the delivery. Deliveries are made during business hours from Monday to Friday. In main centres, this will reach you within 5-7 business days of dispatch. Main centres include properties within a 50km radius of the major cities in South Africa. If you are not in a main centre, it may take a few days longer. We do not deliver by courier to plots, farms, mines, military bases, major chain stores, power stations, game reserves and lodges, airports or harbours, and should your delivery address fall into one of these categories you will be liable for the extra costs incurred in delivering or returning the parcel. We offer delivery of parcels up to 10kg. Delivery on orders over 10kg is calculated based on mass, value, and number of items in the order.
